I was in the process of having a non b Ed visa paperwork done before all this covid stuff hit the fan, I have the documents ready to go but the school said they need 21 days for immigration for a prove the docs and seen as my visa expires April 24th they said they can't submit it..... Now that amnesty is until the end of July I should be able to submit my non b paperwork right? Seen as I have way over 21 days to do so... And I wouldn't need the letter from my embassy as amnesty has that covered.. Is that correct?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires if they can submit their Non-B visa paperwork now that the visa amnesty period has been extended to the end of July. They mention having all necessary documents ready but needing 21 days for immigration approval, which they believed would not be an issue due to the amnesty. Community responses confirm that the amnesty allows for submissions without needing embassy letters, but uncertainty remains about future regulations post-amnesty.

I don't know. How long are you planning on being in Thailand?

The embassies have stopped issuing the letters. The extension of stay based on COVID-19 has been replaced by the amnesty scheme.

Here's the facts:

1. You'd be on the visa amnesty until the end of July (which I'm assuming will be law).

2. You can take classes regardless of the visa (or lack thereof).

3. Nobody knows what would happen at the end of July.

Here's my advice:

Take your classes without the ED visa. Keep watching this group and trusted sources for updates.

planning on being here for the duration of my year visa. But the school are saying they won't submit my paperwork to immigration because my visa expires on the 24th. Seems like they don't really understand how the amnesty works
