TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation addresses whether positions for in-house regional legal counsel at multinational corporations (MNCs) in Thailand are limited to Thai citizens due to work permit regulations. One comment clarifies that foreign legal advisors can work in Thai law firms or as consultants within MNCs, although practicing law in Thailand as a foreigner is restricted. A work permit is obtainable under these circumstances.

In house legal advisor / consultant is possible within a Thai law firm or consulting expert in a MNC. You cannot practice the profession of lawyer within Thailand.
Dustin Smith Why are all those tourists taking pictures of tempels? And claiming that they are so beautiful. Why so many expats order to build their dream house in Thailand? So many condo's for sale in high rise buildings and none of them collapse. Yeah, the Thai don't know anything. Bu this a a page about Visa Advise, for complaining about labor rules or how they do construction there are many other pages available.

Than visit the Ministry of Labor in your area and apply for the work permit, they will know if possible or not.

There's a difference between providing legal service to the public and being in house legal counsel. Courtroom work is definitely out.
