US citizen here. I did a border run to Cambodia in May 2023 and Oct 2023 but now I have a new passport.

Can I do a land run via bus or train for a 60 day visa to savannakhet?

Your thoughts and advice is asked for by a European citizen who is under age 50 and loves Thailand.

I did land border runs twice in 2019...which is my limit ...as it can be done only twice a year, if I understand it correctly.

I want to go to Thailand again at the end of this month...August

I'm not sure whether I will be allowed to come in ....or if I shall apply for Tourist Visa which is 3 months instead.

If I will be able to get the Tourist Visa, I am not sure.

And I have a new passport recently if that makes difference...

No stamps at all.

Also in 2017/2018, I used to go in and out every two months for couple of months... to Malaysia then back... which is not what they like...

I presume too.
