Can I work in Thailand on a child's Non-O visa, or do I need to switch to another visa type?

I was wondering if some one can help me on this.

I just got a 12 month ovisa as I have a child in Thailand, I'm not married.

This visa does allow me to work.

I have just been offered a job through a Boi company and they have said that the Boi do not like o visa for looking after a child.

And that I may need to change.

Does any know anything about this?

And if I do have to change do I need to leave the country?
