I am planning to move to Bangkok Thailand and open a BOI certified Software company.
I am currently looking for an accountant office which is affordable and able to handle all necessary accounting and paper work for BOI.
My company will be quite small with just 3-4 employees and just a few transactions per month.
I have the feeling, that many accountant offices are overpriced. Does anyone have a recommendation in Bangkok?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to open a BOI-certified software company in Bangkok and seeks recommendations for affordable accounting services. There's a concern about the cost of accountants and whether small businesses can qualify for BOI benefits. Responses suggest that due diligence is necessary, including verifying the credentials of accountants, as some may be unqualified. Recommendations include hiring a reputable firm that collaborates with licensed Thai accountants to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Plenty of fraudsters in Thailand who hold themselves out as qualified accountants, lawyers, etc. Even foreign fraudsters holding themselves to be in professions that simply do not exist in Thailand, like real estate brokers and agents. The fraudsters come to Thailand because of these gaps. Its a magnet for charlatans. Hire someone in a reputable firm who works with a licensed Thai colleague (if there is one) who is licensed and qualified in his or her home jurisdiction. This is the model the larger firms use. If he or she engages in fraud, you will have some recourses. Little or no recourse with local parties.
Thanks for the replies. I am already in contact with the BOI office. The conditions for the BOI are already clarified and the size of the company is ok. We just have to fulfil a minimum yearly salary pay to Thai employees. We don't want to hire an accountant in-house, instead we would like to have an external accountant office.
Being that accounting is a restricted occupation, for Thais only, you need one for more than just dealing with the BOI. A licensed accountant has to sign off on lots of regular government filings. My wife is a licensed accountant. What is your budget?
Maybe read the BOI guidelines first, I don’t think small companies apply. The investment I think was very high last time I checked. Small companies can’t apply for BOI, or at least it is my understanding.
