TLDR : Answer Summary
The user transferred 800,000 THB from a UK bank to a bank in Khon Kaen and then to Bangkok Bank, inquiring whether this meets the requirements for a Non-O visa application. Responses highlighted the importance of verifying with the Khon Kaen immigration office whether the transfer is acceptable as a domestic transfer for the visa application. Additionally, considerations include the need for funds to be in the account for at least two months prior to applying for the visa extension.

Personally I think its crazy that immigration should care whether the monry was internationally or domestically deposited

@Michael ******
they do at SOME offices only for the initial 90 day Non-O visa

From your previous post you recently obtained the 90 day Non-O visa so you will be applying for an extension to that. Your money needs to be in your bank account for 2 full months before you apply. Speak to the immigration office where you got the visa and see what they but most don't require it to show as international transfer for an extension

You need to check with the Khon Kaen office on whether it can show as a domestic transfer OR has to show as an international transfer.

Also what do you mean by your "year Non-O visa" ๐Ÿ˜• seeing as there is no such thing sold inside thailand ๐Ÿ˜ฎ You either need to get the 90 day Non-O visa first and then after you have 30 days or less left on that 90 day stamp and the funds are seasoned 2 months apply for the year OR you're just applying for another year extension.

What is it you're exactly doing

thanks I meant it will be a extension on my 90 days visa

@Bob ******
ahh so you already have the 90 day non-O and are applying for the year extension

IN THAT CASE

there is no proof of funds origin, and it can be coded as a domestic transfer on your bank book.

you will need to have the funds seasoned in the thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension, then keep it in the account for 3 months after the extension is granted and after that the balance can't go below 400K baht
