Report from BKK and questions about marriage visas… I have a US passport and entered thailand today. I had previously spent a few years on the covid extensions and then left thailand for almost a year and came back today through BKK as soon as they scanned my passport they took me aside to a small office and asked questions why am i here so long. I told them I am gettind married here this summer and the officer asked to call my girlfriend to talk to her. After he was satisfied we are telling the truth he let me in with a tourist exempt but told me this is the last time and that he made a note in the computer not to let me in without a marriage visa. That as long as i have a marriage visa i will be allowed in and can stay long no problems but no No more tourist visas. (I dont know if he meant only tourist exempt or if even a TR60 tourist visa will also be denied for me) I saw them pulling off quite a few other passengers presumably for also spending too much time here during covid. … my question about marriage visas. I don’t actually plan to live here or stay long term. I just plan to visit for a few weeks and weekends here and there. I will soon be legally married to my thai wife. Is there some kind of multi entry or some kind of marriage visa that doesn’t require the $400,000 deposit? What kind of options would you all suggest for me? Thank you!
