Hey guys, just got the 60 Day COVID visa from Bangkok temp immigration.

I arrived with photos and passport.

Got documents copied there, got paper work from there to fill in.

The person next to me actually got turned away and into an argument being told "COVID visa isn't a thing anymore".

Scared the shit out of me as that's why I was there. So Instead of asking for COVID visa I asked for unable to travel visa.

They told me this is the last one I can get (also the first)

And handed me the paper work to fill in.

I filled it in got out in que and it took about 20 minutes.

When I arrived there was few people there, but when I left at 10am it got super busy, so I suggest going before then.

Also have a plan B ready in case.

Sidenote: saw a few people with agents there, they literally did nothing, the process is super easy to do yourself.

No idea, you can try, but you'd have to try before the covid visa ends in case its not extended. Best to have plan B
Adam *******
Were you given the extension stamp the same day or did you receive the 2 week under consideration stamp?

great stuff, was this 60 days from your application or 60 days from the end of your current stamp? Plan to go and try my luck with my first covid extension tomorrow

Why would anybody chose an agent and then still have to show up at immigration in person? Dosn't make sense to me

I saw 2 people do it there. My only guess is they were worried about communication and the process.

@Nicholas ********
Maybe not agents then. The agents should have the links. That's the purpous of an agent so you don't have to do anything at immigration

@Marc *******
Potentially not, it was an assumption. They had a paid agent look about them 555

@Nicholas ********
Not a good agent then if you still have to go trough the hassle showing up at immigration. Defeats the whole purpous of hiring an agent🤣

Did you need a letter from your embassy saying you are unable to travel?

I did not, I walked in with pictures and my passport. I got paper work from there.

This is why I’m going to not do it in Bangkok, or any of the other more frequented immigration offices

I’ll still have a plan B though

I think they're more just trying to make sure people aren't taking advantage and get covid visa after covid visa with out trying to leave
Niclas ***********
Do they publish how many they have on covid extension? If so might be easy to calculate if it will continue due to monetary reasons.
Brandon ************
You should actually be able to apply for another one before January 25th since you'll have less than 30 days left then, but if they would issue it or not is another issue. No one knows if it will be extended or not, they're just trying to dissuade people from applying it sounds like.

Should, but they're definitely trying to make it harder, and are willing to turn away people.

With today's announcement of possible ending of test&go and making everyone do quarantine again, I can't see how they could discontinue the covid extensions if they go through with it.
