So, just been to immigration with my family and have been rejected for a 60 day Covid visa. I was actually working until Jan 27 and we have a reason for not being able to move to our new destination (borders closed).

My wife has a contract for temporary filler job, but the school can't process work permits at the moment.

Trying to come up with plan d.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience of being rejected for a 60-day Covid visa at the immigration office in Thailand, mentioning that they have been unable to relocate due to closed borders and their wife's temporary job contract unable to be processed for a work permit. Multiple comments follow, discussing similar situations, strategies for approaching immigration, and inquiries about obtaining an 'under consideration' stamp for future extensions.

@Ty *****
also what reason did you write for the extension? I’ve been just writing “COVID”. May add a few lines this time. Any advice please?

@Ty *****
do you have the any clear printable version saved for this form?

alright thanks. Hopefully i get the under consideration stamp smoothly when I visit tomorrow. I still remember the lady officer preaching from last time.

same situation similar to yours. Been here over a year, got in with visa exemption followed by these 60 days extensions expiring March 30. Planning to visit the immigration later this week, kinda scared as last time the lady officer gave me a look and asked me to leave saying this is the last time i can get extension. I’ll try to avoid her lol and hopefully get one till 30 May. Did you have any issues this time?

My wife's school has said pattaya is denying covid visas too.

I've already done 3 covid extensions. But the first was when they were just letting you do 1 additional extension on top of the regular extension and was only for 30 days so it's a bit of a grey area.

pattaya immigration is notoriously bad. I'm going to Phuket immigration this week. Hopefully I won't have any issues.

Did you mention to immigration that you were going to work in covid extension stamp?

@Mithlesh ********
no, but they knew potentially my wife had a contract and we were trying to bridge the gap between visas.
Mithlesh *********
Did they gave you any particular reason for denial?
