What options are available for obtaining a long-term visa for my daughter not eligible for an ED visa while I apply for my retirement visa in Thailand?

I think I have figured out the steps to come and then apply for retirement visa.  I am coming from USA this summer. My question is: I have a 16 year old daughter who will be in a hybrid-homeschool program. She is not eligible for ED visa.  I have heard people mention dependent visas but I see no evidence of this online on official gov of Thailand websites?  Am I missing something? What can I do to get her a longer term (1 year) visa?  Thoughts?
