Is there an age restriction to get the ED Visa? I heard someone say it must be under 50 years old. Is it true?

TLDR : Answer Summary
No, there is no age restriction for obtaining an ED (Education) Visa in Thailand, despite some claims that applicants must be under 50 years old. Several commenters, including those over 50, have successfully acquired ED Visas in various provinces like Chiang Mai and Bangkok. The key factor is the specific immigration office and the language school or educational institution applied to, suggesting that potential applicants should inquire with their school about local policies.

No. I got mine and many others doing my course are older than me. In Chiang Mai.

It really depends on what province you live in as to options for studying.

You need to ask your school. Some immigration offices don't allow it. Your school would know if their immigration office does or does not.
