Hello all I have been denied entry last march 2019 in Don Muang airport, motif : too many tourist visa.

I plan to come back to BKK in April through Don Muang with a tourist visa and a trip of 3 weeks in Thailand. Do you think that now I could be granted access ?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on re-entering Thailand after being denied entry in March 2019 due to an excessive number of tourist visas. The community suggests that with more than a year since the denial, and if equipped with proof of funds, onward travel, and accommodation, the chances of being granted entry this time are favorable. However, the final decision remains at the discretion of the immigration officer.

How many tourist visa's were considered too many to get you denied?

that is neither here nor there because each situation is different and comes down to the immigration officer you're standing in front of stamping in.

There is no "you can have xxx tourist visas or yyy 30 day visa exempt entries" then we will deny you entry. It's a total crap shoot :O I know people with pages and pages of 30 day visa exempt entries who skate in every time with out issue and I know someone with two 30 day visa exempt entries (and one 30 day extension from one) who got pulled aside and questioned for 20 minutes.

There is no limit, there is not a known number.

Every entry is a individual case and will be judged by the Immigration Officer.

I think you have a fine plan,

Make SURE you have your proof of funds (20K baht or the equivalent in CASH), proof of onward travel (within 60-90 days) and proof of lodging.

You CAN be asked for those things.

Other than that all you can do is hope for the best. Good Luck, safe travels :)

why you need tourist visa if you only stay 3 weeks?

Be prepared, Immigration may ask to see you have: proof of onward travel, proof of accommodation and proof of funds as in 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in cash. But if you did not visited Thailand since March 2019, it should not be a big problem to get entry again.

Easy for you, not easy for many others

Do they really only require proof of 20,000 baht? Last year I popped to Mae Sai for a border bounce and was concerned I might not have enough money if they wanted proof of funds but 20,000 is easy!

More than a year gap? You should be good.
