Headed back to the US for a friend's wedding, and then hopefully back to Thailand for about three more months. Since I will be in the states, I thought that it would be easier to apply for a single entry 60-day tourist visa there. However, I cannot seem to find any information regarding this route. Are there any Americans on here that obtained a tourist visa before coming to Thailand? How did you go about it? Thank you!
Does anyone know which (if any) Thai consulates in the US still issue a 6-month METV for US passport holders? I know the honorary consulate generals in Texas do not do them as of 2016, and I looked at the embassy websites for Washington DC and Chicago and all I could find were 60-day METV requirements. Is a 60-day METV (plus 30-day extension) the only option now?
