What is the best option for obtaining a US B2 visa quickly from Thailand: Bangkok embassy or Chiang Mai consulate?

Looking for advice for obtaining US B2 visa from Thailand:

I am a Brazilian citizen and I was selected for a short course in the States in mid May. Would also visit some friends while there.

Between Bangkok US embassy and Chiang Mai US consulate, which one offers highest chance of a fast processing/issuing visa?

Also, is it recommended to hire some sort of agent to help making this process quicker?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Brazilian citizen is seeking advice on obtaining a US B2 visa from Thailand for a short course and visiting friends. They inquire about the processing times between the US embassy in Bangkok and the consulate in Chiang Mai, with comments suggesting the embassy may offer better chances due to longer processing times at the consulate and potential delays. Additionally, the poster discovers shorter waiting times in Singapore and asks about experiences with the US Embassy there.

Thanks for the clarification guys. After some research I found that the waiting time in Singapore is much shorter (2 days according to the website).

Long shot but:

Would anybody have an experience with US Embassy in Singapore?

Consider the fact everything concerning any visa for entry into the US has to be processed through the embassy in Bangkok. If you go through the consulate in Chiang Mai, everything has to be sent to the embassy for processing and approval, or denial.

It's my understanding that appointments for B2 are many months out at the moment.

I'm not sure that Chiang Mai is even operating at the moment

CM Consulate is operating at the moment. Whether they process B2 visas, that I don't know.
