Is there a one-stop (singular) website that shows the status of Thai Consulates abroad (open or closed)? I am asking because I will have to travel to a neighbouring country to Thailand (I'm currently in Thailand) in order to obtain a new visa some time in the next month or two. Thank you.

If not, then I imagine I'll have to search for individual consulates in their respective countries.

Btw, I have until 25th Dec stamp on COVID extension, so no immediate rush.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about a comprehensive website to check the operational status of Thai Consulates overseas as they need to travel for a new visa. The conversation reveals that Cambodia is a potential destination for obtaining the visa but highlights challenges due to current travel restrictions and the need for proper entry and insurance requirements. Additionally, there are comments about the reputation of the Thai embassy in Cambodia and travel logistics.

Pre-covid wasn't Siam Reap generally acknowledged to be the most hostile Thai embassy in the world? I've never been there but I do remember people saying it was a good place to avoid.

@Bobby *******
yes, that's Poipet

John August. Poipet I think was the border. I understand they were hard too, but I was talking about the Embassy

Even tho Cambodia may open up, the hard part is getting there and back as the land borders in Thailand are closed. Flights seem to be the only method right now.

Cambodia opens up to vaccinated tourists on the 15th but you'll need to do the Thailand pass and insurance to get back

There’s not many choices for SE Asian countries. From a reports Cambodia may be an option but elsewhere you are either not eligible to enter or have to quarantine.

Cambodia is opening up tomorrow think thats your only choice at moment, unless you get permission to enter and quarantine another country
