Hi all, my gf and I are going to extend our short term 2mth visa for another 30 days.

If we do it earlier, it extends from the day it expires? Any chance they extend for the two weeks lost in ASQ? Heard that was possible 🙂

Any suggestions on what to do after that ends? We would like to stay as long as possible but wouldn’t be able to go on a work visa. Possible to go over the border and come back in another tourist visa or a volunteering visa? Advice much appreciated!

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

(extending "90 day medical extensions" & 90 day "Non-O volunteer visas" with a 60 day covid stamp)

We are getting a lot of people trying to post who for one reason or another got either a b/s, back-door 90 day medical extension OR an equally b/s, back-door 90 day Non-O based on "volunteering" and now want to get 60 day covid extensions.

Unfortunately we're not letting posts like that on the group (or we're not letting many of them anyway). ;)

There is no way anyone on this group can tell what an immigration officer at your immigration office will say when you go to apply for a 60 day covid extension with a stamp like those two I mentioned in your passport.

Some people will skate right thru and get the 60 days without question (y)

BUT

some people will get questioned heavily but get the in the end extension :/

AND

some people will be told, go back to the province you got your stamp from and apply there. :O :(

We am not judging anyone on those stamps (not in the least) but, you people knew exactly what you were doing when you went down the path to get that 90 day medical extension, OR to get that 90 day Non-O visa (based on volunteering for a foundation you can't pronounce let alone ever volunteered for :O ). No one twisted your arm, no one made you do it.

You either GO to your immigration office before you need the extension and see if you can get it

OR

you contact the people who you used to get those stamps and ask them what to do.

We're just not gonna let posts from people on those two stamps on the group.

We wish everyone good luck with their extensions, stay safe and have a happy holiday season.

Hi everyone,

I am in a complicated situation and feeling a bit lost, would very much appreciate your help!

I am on Ed visa expiring on 14th October. I got a letter from my embassy about covid situation to request an extension. I went to chaeng Wattana today. Officer said, that I should get a letter from my school to cancel my ed visa and switch to covid visa. So it's not going to be an extension as I hoped. Officer suggested me to come back again between 20th to 26th September to issue this. However I asked my questions there, I couldn't get much of an explanation, probably caused by miscommunication.

Is my visa going to be cancelled on a date that papers were stamped for or is it going to be cancelled on the day I go to Chaengwattana? Because if it's gonna get cancelled on the day I go there, on the dates she suggested me to come back I am losing about 3 weeks from my visa, which I'd love to preserve if possible but I don't know how long the process may take, how long before I have to do it... In the other hand if I leave this process to last few days to use my visa more and somehow end up getting rejected I definitely couldn't arrange a trip back to Turkey in a few days :S (I am a Turkish passport holder.)

My other question is how long this covid visa is? Is it 3 months or only a month?? Or even if it's for a month is it easy to keep extending it? How does it work? Ideally I would like to stay in Thailand until March or February, which is not much actually after my visa runs out in mid October.

If I could follow up Level 3 with my language school, paper work could have been much easier but it's quite expensive and I am not in a financially comfortable place at the moment. I heard about Muay Thai visas, are there any cheap options? Or I heard about volunteering visas but couldn't learn much about it yet, do you know how do they work?

Thank you so much if you read this so far! <3 I know it's way too long! :'(

ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Much obliged! 🙏😇🙏

*Just a photo of me giving you guys my puppy eyes for help👇😄

EDIT: Lets forget Covid and the ”new normal” from this. I know that everything is different now, and nobody dont know when tourist can entry to the country. Somebody have experiences before Covid? I will follow the news and the situation about Covid.

Hi! Anybody have experiences about applying Volunteering Visa, before entering to Thailand? (Or do you prefer to go Thailand with Visa on arrival and do the paper work while im already in Thailand? Is this easy and can i count on it to happen?)

What invitation letter should include?

Anything you know i should to take a notice about?

(And yes, i know that many people want to say that “let the company take care of paper work” But thats not possible in my situation, owner of the company is my friend, and we will do this together.)

Thank you.

Hey, y'all. I have another question.

Which visa do the digital nomads and volunteers use?

Edit to add: I will be enrolling in a language school to learn Thai and possibly a martial arts school, too. Those are just things I really want to do. I will be teaching English online using my US address and bank account.

Anyone know what I need to extend a non-o volunteering visa by one year? If I can't get one year is it easier to get three months?
