Anyone know what I need to extend a non-o volunteering visa by one year? If I can't get one year is it easier to get three months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a non-O volunteering visa by one year, you typically need to secure a letter from the social department after obtaining two 3-month extensions and a work permit. If you're unable to extend for a year, applying for a 3-month extension might be a simpler alternative, however, it requires similar documentation.

so we should just apply for 1 year extension and see what happens...I’m doing the process for volunteers in BKK but very little info on it

I tried to do the social letter after my first extension and it was voice recorded. I have e years of understanding visa and work permit processing for up to 170 volunteers. The processes change all the time and this was last year's process. It regularly changed and will always regularly change.

That was the process last year with Chiang Mai social department. Other places may be different. I have heard you don't even need one extension in Mae Sot from a friend's foundation.

Nice one, thank you! I think my boss was stressing thinking we needed the letter on Friday. Good to know that I gotta get three months first. Thanks!
The organization you're volunteering with should provide documentation for your extention

I am aware.... :/ my director is really busy though and I'm scared it's not gonna be done in time, so I want to give her a little nudge/helping hand (and prevent myself from overstaying)
