hello there, As a Thai tax resident and DTV holder, do I need to pay any taxes if I’m not transferring money to a Thai bank account, and I’m only using my credit/debit cards from my home country? I’m also withdrawing small amounts of cash from ATMs using my home country's bank cards.

So my business get larger lump sums of money during summer and slows down in winter, so my past 4-6 months looks rather dull vs my summer last year and coming...

Proving funds is fine, but if they look they won't see alot of incoming money for the past few months.

Is that going to be an issue?

Also, what is considered a digital nomad? Paying tax in my own country or in thailand?

Okay. I'm a US citizen ready to become an expat in Thailand

What are my responsibilities to America. I am on medicare and medicaid but probably have to get part b. I am also on ssI with direct deposit. Will any of these benefits be compromised as an expat, and curious about tax liabilities. I know it's alot but I also know alot of you have gone through this. My visa would be non o with Thai Family.

✨ Big News! ✨

I’m officially approved for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand! This means I can stay in this beautiful country for five more years while pursuing my goals and building my dream life. 🇹🇭💻

This journey has been incredible, and I couldn’t have done it without the encouragement and support of Kami Moya. Thank you for pushing me to take this step and guiding me through the process—I’m beyond grateful to have someone like you in my corner.

Thailand already feels like home, and I’m so excited for what’s to come. Here’s to new opportunities, adventures, and making the most of this amazing chapter! 🌏✨

UPDATE: if you need help with your DTV or documentation message me I will forward you my agent.

I'm looking into the DTV. I'm an American digital nomad running a YT channel and online music teaching program as a sole proprietor. Pretty DIY so my proof of work would be my YouTube channel and teaching site. I'm not an LLC or anything. Will this cause any issues?

Question regarding taxes:

I'm a US citizen and work remotely. My work is not stable, I pick up different contracts throughout the year.

I arrived to Thailand on a DTV late October 2024. I plan to stay though Songkran and extend for an additional 6 months. That puts me at more than 180 days for calendar year 2025. What are my tax obligations? Do I need to pay Thailand & US taxes?

I traveled for over 10 months internationally 2024 but didn't stay in one place for more than 180 day so I'm assuming it's ok for this year.

TIA!

The embassy requested that I provide a business registration with the government as well as certification from my employer. I'm a self employed digital artist who sells directly to computer gamers. Any members out there run into this problem who can suggest a solution?

Hello. I'm working at a school in BKK and have a work permit, and the tax id. I'd like to do part-time remote work as a freelancer (non-teaching) and get paid to my thai bank account from clients overseas. Would it be fine? I'd like to do it legally, I'm willing to declare my income and pay tax. Can you suggest the way to do it? Normally, one would need to open a company and sponsor his work permit. But I do have a wp and don't think you can possess two. Any ideas appreciated. Thank you.
