What type of visa should my Indonesian boyfriend apply for to visit Thailand before our wedding?
Hi need advise for Thai visa for Indonesian nationality. My boyfriend has been flying in and out of Thailand, staying within the 30 day limit but the last trip the officer said his next trip he would need a visa. Can anyone advise which visa to apply for, can we apply for a tourist visa 60 days via the Thai embassy in Penang? This is temporary as we are scheduled to marry only in March 2019.
Answer summary
An Indonesian national planning to visit Thailand should consider applying for a Single Entry Tourist Visa at the Thai embassy in Penang, allowing a stay of 60 days which can be extended by another 30 days. Alternatively, he could apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa in Indonesia, which is valid for 6 months.

Apply in Indonesia. Bit less crowded.
For Indonesian consulates you need:
- proof of travel (in and out of thailand)
- proof of accomodation (at least 1 week booked)
- copy of bank statement with proof of funds (at least 700 usd or equivalent)
With Penang for accomodation proof you need the entire stay.
