with all the chatter about entry visa being dropped to 30 days anybody got any thoughts on if there will be any leniency on visa runs out of the country and back in for another 30 days.

trying to keep track on what is going on but haven’t seen this scenario mentioned
Answer summary
The conversation revolves around the potential implications of a rumored reduction of the entry visa duration to 30 days in Thailand. Many commenters clarify that currently, visa-exempt entries for most countries still allow a 60-day stay, which can be extended. Furthermore, there are concerns that if the duration does change, regulations surrounding visa runs could become stricter rather than more lenient. Overall, there remains an emphasis on waiting for official announcements before making any plans regarding visa status.

Visa exempt is still 60 days and can be extended an additional 30 days. Want to stay longer just get a damn visa like the rest of us.

Zero point even thinking about it until the changes are made and if they are made

-->> "Chatter" <---

So why would you waste time worrying about "chatter" ?

Wait until whatever becomes a fact, official... THEN see if there are any questions.

And... there is NO chatter at all about "entry visa" being dropped to 30 days. Only about visa exempt, which is completely different.

So just relax. And IF and WHEN anything changes, you can still ask.

Why do people continue to confuse visa exempt entry with actual visa entry? And with regard to what i believe the question is trying to ask, nothing has changed talk talk and more talk. Visa exempt still 60 days for most Countries. Actual border runs expect much tighter scrutiny.

Not a chance. If anything, expect even tighter regulations on visa runs coupled with 30-day visa exemptions.

Brian Glasscannon Newton That is a VOA, visa on arrival, that cost 2000 baht and give 15 days stay. But i belive the OP here is a little confused and talk about the talks about reducing the visa free stay from 60 to 30 days.
