There was some talk that visa exempt for Australians was to be reduced from 60 to 30 days. I’ve heard nothing confirming this - is this still likely tk happen?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There was speculation about a potential reduction of the visa exemption for Australians from 60 to 30 days, primarily due to concerns about tourist behavior. However, no official confirmation has emerged, and recent discussions indicate that the proposal seems to have stalled.

It was a proposal in March and nothing more came of it.

All because of a period of time where the news was filled with tourists behaving badly, and Thais were sick of it. Seems to have died off now.

There was some press chatter about this a few months ago. Nothing came of it. Whether it will in the future - who knows.
