Todays the day....really crossing my fingers the sandbox program remains untouched, i was hoping to apply for my Thai pass on Thursday 😅

Answer summary

The community is discussing concerns regarding the status of the Sandbox Program and the Thai Pass as of January 2022. Users express hopes that the program remains unchanged, especially for upcoming applications. There is uncertainty due to recent meetings by the CCSA (Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration) and rumors about potential delays or changes. Overall, there seems to be confusion about whether the Thai Pass is necessary for entry, particularly for the Phuket Sandbox, as comments clarify that it is still required. Users are awaiting official updates to confirm the status of these programs.

Today is only a sub committee CCSA meeting.

Nothing will be actually discussed and ruled upon until the main committee meets on Friday

CCSA said on the last press meeting that they will give information on 5th. Friday seams a bit far away as it is 7th and if there is new rules they start from monday after a weekend when all is closed. That would be a real BLOW MY HEAD AWAY!

A Thai Pass approval is needed for all entries into the Kindgom. It does not matter which scheme you enter under.

Nothing major will change. Bars and schools are closed again in Bangkok. We might see an increase in domestic restrictions but that's it.

Garrett Greenwald. The "bars" never reopened. They just reinvented themselves as "restaurants" and are still all operating! So no change!
