Will the new KPlus transaction limit impact inbound transfers to Thailand?

Any idea if this will impact inbound transfers?

Kplus — Can no longer transfer more than 50k thb per “day” anymore, all I ever used the account was for getting money from Europe, twice a month for many years on average with out issue to pay the wife and bills. This is despite me using a correct simcard and already did facial scan at the bank a while back. Probably gonna take a few days to move funds out gonna switch banks. This is utterly ridiculous. Been with them for 4 years with no issues. Luckily, I have four other Thai banks with no such limits. Only been using K plus because they are usually the fastest for international transfers might keep using them. Hopefully inbound won’t be impacted. I don’t think so, but won’t be using them for storing money or paying bills.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The recent change in KPlus banking limits, capping outbound transfers to 50,000 THB per day, has raised concerns among users regarding its impact on inbound transfers. Users speculate that while the limit affects outbound transactions, it does not apply to incoming deposits, allowing them to continue using KPlus for receiving international funds. Some users noted they could adjust their daily limits at the bank, while others reported conflicting experiences in the app. Overall, the conversation suggests that inbound transfers should remain unaffected despite the new restrictions.

I guess they’re selective about who they limit? Had my K bank for ~1 year since switching from Krungsri and never received any maximum limits on transactions

You can actually change the daily limit at KBank. Just go to their official website to see how to do it.

Yes. It’s being slowly rolled out. Expect more posts like this very soon.

You can change the daily payment limit in app as long as your face has been registered at K+ bank.

@Ness ****
No,that's not possible.50k is the limit.

@Max ************
yes, works by me also , adjust in app once face scan done and matching Sim

@John *******
Sorry,but you're wrong.Open settings in the app and try to change the limit. After you've done that,come back and tell me what it said. You can actually change the limit,but not in the app.You need to visit your branch.

@Max ************
I done it , I only can tell you what I see and done

@John *******
You can't go above 50k unless you've visited your branch first. I'm banking with both KBank and Bangkok Bank. I know what it says in the K+ app when clicking on "Change transaction limits". I don't need to change the limit but I can't do it unless I visit my branch.Neither can you.

, There is always one. Anyway I had this exact situation and fixed it at the K branch then could modify daily limit payment to 10 times that with face scan and made my payment. It was less than a week ago, so it is possible...

@Ness ****
You can not change the limit in the app as you said in your previous comment. Doing it at your branch is another story.

I have done it, that is a fact. I did register my face in KBank prior to that though. Now I'm free to move my payment limit over 50k with a face scan in app without going to a branch anymore. End of discussion.

I have also registered for the facial recognition crap and used it. It still says exacty same thing in the K+ app if clicking on changing transaction limits. I tried just out of curiosity, but it says I can't do it. I need to go the KBank website and check out how to do it.It's not possible to take a screenshot, otherwise I've done so and showed you.

I changed it from 50k to 500k to 1.5m and back to 50k

can confirm, to adjust in kplus app max is 50k for me per day, can’t go higher. At least it’s only for outbound. No limit on inbound.

This is for money leaving your account not incoming deposits

yes it’s pretty random. Some of my friends don’t have it either. I don’t know if they’re slowly rolling it out or they depended on some algorithm.

I mean, I can live with at 50 K transaction per day, if I really need to pay for something expensive I’ll just get cash out over multiple days however I hope this does not impact inbound transfer from overseas for over 100k. I don’t think so at least. I might keep using them for inbound transfers from overseas because I find K plus to be the fastest for instant international transfers, but I won’t be using them for storing the cash and will gradually move them to other Thai banks.

@นิก ****
you can transfer in 2 million using Wise
