In regards to the transaction limit on a KBank bank savings account. I've just spoken the KBank they confirm the single transaction limit is 50kthb with the total daily limit also 50kthb. He said there is a project at the bank to apply face recognition to the account at which time they will allow higher amounts.
Also if you have a debit card on your account you can make purchases up to 500kthb depending on your credit with the bank, so can make purchases at shops and the like. This seems high to me but I asked him twice. Cash from a ATM is 30kthb a limit of the cash machine. He also said you could make transfers on the card up to 1m. Really?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The transaction limits for a KBank savings account are confirmed to be 50,000 THB for single transactions and a total daily limit of 50,000 THB. A KBank representative mentioned that the introduction of facial recognition technology could enable higher transaction amounts in the future. Customers using a debit card may have a higher purchase limit of up to 500,000 THB, depending on their credit with the bank. Additionally, ATM withdrawals are capped at 30,000 THB per transaction. Some users have reported variances in limits depending on their accounts, with one user indicating a daily limit as high as 5,000,000 THB.
Kind of think you just a Wise card from you home country and just use that for largish purchases. No need to send money to Thailand, become taxable for it if you exceed the 180 day limit, struggling with banks to make withdrawals, limits on how much you can send, etc.Lazada is your friend 😀
sending money to Thailand can only become taxable if it’s money coming from a taxable source.

When you say Kbank, do you mean Kasikorn or Krungthai?
Reason I ask is because I have this with Krungthai. Their facial recognition in their app doesn't work for western faces, so they bypass it to get the app to work, which limits to 50k per transfer... They insist thai banking regulations forbid foreigners transfering more than 50k per transfer (not true)
just photo? Did they took your passport to update the system too? Like your name and passport number? I ran to 2 kasikorn bank yesterday and none of them can update my facial recognition due to untraceable on my system info. Very funny. They should have all my bank info even name in it but system appeared to be nameless. What a joke.
an hour in my K Bank withdrawing 45k to pay off our car loan. Had to sign 7 (seven) withdrawal slips, as the teller didn't like my signature!, not seen him on the till since. As you say 30k from ATM . Not received any Facial request, as yet!
no not that I'm aware of, also if I try to do face recognition on my app it says "For Thai customers only". I don't need to send large amounts with Kbank I would do that with Bangkok bank that I have face ID on. But that take 10 minutes to do... not a fan.
as i aware off you need to bring your passport and bankbook to update your facial recognition at the bank counter itself. The problem is the system might not be able to read your passport to update their system. So in the end, our Kbank has limited amount to transfer only. This is the problem i faced now.
