TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around concerns regarding the potential closure of the immigration office in Bangkok due to the COVID-19 outbreak. There is uncertainty about the office's operational status, with comments reflecting skepticism about a shutdown causing significant disruption. Additionally, there are inquiries about options for visa extensions and border runs during this period, highlighting the emotional stress of managing visa regulations while dealing with personal matters, such as relocating a pet.

Wondering the same. My ED visa is up on April 8th and I was hoping to do a SETV or Visa Except while I try to collect my deposit back from my apartment before I head back to the US. This whole thing is scaring the shit out of me since I also have my dog here too who needs really time specific steps for export back to the US. I’m worried he’s gonna be stuck in Thailand and I’m gonna be stuck outside the country.

Where is the best country to go for the border run Thai visa for 60 days?

As far as I know the Nong Khai and Mukdahan borders are still good. Seems every other country around here is shutting down.

Haven't heard anything yet. But I seriously doubt they will. It will cause total chaos.
