Hello๐Ÿ‘‹

Our family of 5 have been here in Phuket Thailand since January, we used our 30 day non visa required, then paid for another 30 days. We now have to do a boarder run. But was told by someone we could pay someone to help us get a 3 month visa to not have to keep doing boarder runs. But itโ€™s a bit pricey. Can someone explain what our best options are please. Husband is here in town training Muay Thai, we originally were set to stay until April but now we are hoping to stay until June.

Thanks in advance. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A family in Phuket wants to extend their stay beyond their current visas due to their husband's Muay Thai training. They have used the 30-day visa exemption and an additional 30 days, leading to the need for a border run. Suggestions for extending their stay include the husband obtaining a 90-day Education (ED) visa if the gym can assist, while the rest of the family might consider obtaining 60-day tourist visas that can be extended for another 30 days, possibly with a trip to Penang.

Often it is cheap to fly to kl or penang, suggest using Skyscanner and checking. It can be cheaper than land border runs and quicker.

Your husband could possibly get a 90 say ED visa if the gym he is training at can help with that but the rest of you would be on your own. I'd suggest all of you going to penang and getting 60 day tourist visas which you can extend by a further 30 days

My children are also training and fighting, My husband is in the ufc. Will that work for them also? Probably not right? They are doing homeschool online so we canโ€™t apply for Ed visas:( Correct? Also, so sorry. How far is Penang from Phuket, bangtao area?

home school, no visa, correct. Might be easier if you all just go and get tourist visas. Pretty sure you can fly otherwise it's about 9 hours by road, but what other options do you have? If your kids are also training they might also be able to get ED visas if they are the right age but you'd need to speak to the school as they would need to supply paperwork
