TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their negative experience at Seasons Hotel in Bangkok while undergoing a 16-day ASQ stay, highlighting issues such as poor food quality (mostly junk food, with no hot meals), lack of fresh air (windows that don't open), and inadequate cleanliness (dirty clothes left under the bed). The post sparked a discussion among community members, with some sharing contrasting positive experiences at other hotels, highlighting the importance of researching ASQ options before booking. Comments also touched upon recent travel restrictions and the urgency for many expats to return to Thailand for various personal reasons.

That's bad, I stayed at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4. 3 fine meals per day, nice choices on menu . Although I did change to a larger room, cost me another 7,000 thb. 21 sq meters was just a bit small.
Rob ******
Plus you can catch Covid staying at Hotels with Covid positive patients beside or around .

Its not bright .

@Rob *****
have you been through the process its quite well done. Its actually stricter and better organised than Singapore
Richard ******
It was you're choice stop moaning and shut up
John *********
@Richard *****
the guy was trying to assist fellow travellers whom may fall into the same trap. Not everything advertised is as it seems. Its a forum for help not criticism.
Carlo **********
Was it worth it?

Has anyone heard what Thailand is considering about travelers who have been vaccinated? I have been and want to travel to Khonkaen.
Paulus *********
Are you sure you’re not still at home ?
Steven ***************
@Edna ******
. Nothing yet. Vaccination doesn't stop you from passing it on to others. It only protects YOU from a severe case.
Peter **********
@Steven **************
This hasn’t been confirmed either way yet.
Jon *****
@Peter *********
You're right... Only hypothetical
Edna *******
@Steven **************
thanks everyone for the medical explanations. I’m very well aware. I did read a few months back it may be considered, but nothing since. Nor any updates on foreign tourists.
Steven ***************
@Edna ******
. That was their tourism minister talking out of turn. It got dismissed by the Health authorities a few days later.
Sharn *************
@Steven **************
The said that the russian vaccine and astrazeneca does stop transmission quite good so fingers crossed
Steven ***************
@Sharn ************
. There has never been a flu vaccine in history that was100% effective in stopping contraction or transmission. Until that day comes, i don't see the risk is worth it. Flu viruses can mutate rendering vaccines useless to new strains . And flu vaccines essentially give you a very mild case of the flu which allows you to build antibodies to it without getting severely sick. Its your own antibodies that fight it and protect you from getting the same strain again. Doesn't stop you from transmitting the flu from one person to another eg body contact from carrier, to you , to a non carrier
Jon *****
@Steven **************
Still worth the move if it avoids us being intubated
Steven ***************
@Jon *******
. I agree totally. But a vaccine doesn't remove the need for quarantine which seems to be the false hope being generated.
Jon *****
@Steven **************
Yes most probably. Unless people that are vaccinated may be less contagious which could be the case
Tony ******
I wouldn't bother paying all that money until I can go back with my thai wife and family to visit friends and family total RIP off
Jon *****
@Tony *****
I expect you will wait for a long time then... I think the thai government has found an easy way to make cash 👍
Tony ******
@Jon *******
I'm not surprised they are always on the take never help the real people that need help, we will wait and see what happens

Sounds like a bargain that went wrong.

He’s just boasting. Some people love to rub peoples noses in it.

Don’t even give these people the time of day.
Michael ********
@James *******
Did you come from UK

They gave order to all hotels not to let people out or do housekeeping because of the new covid variants in UK, blame Boris the Butcher not the Thais.

And as for cold food you have gone for cheapest end of spectrum you get what you pay for.
Shane **********
@Michael *******
Cold food is because ASQ use catering services and by the time meals are delivered they are no longer hot, a microwave solves this, nothing to do with cheap ASQ. I used Cinnamon Residence
*****
and had everything.
Michael ********
@Shane *********
yes lots are doing microwaves good idea to check before.

Mine never used catering services was made to order and served with proper plates.

You get what you pay for. Go to Anantara Riverside no Problems.
Shayne **********
@Paul ****************
my friend had a lovely 3 days at Anantara before they kicked him to hospital for a positive test. Of course you idiots my friend survived COVID 4 months ago.
Mark ***********
Ouch, and how much do they charge you for this luxury?
Kathy ****************
That about sums it up, except the sinus infection from you know where on day 4 from all the smoking on the balconies.. Then there is the noravirus on day 10 from food served and total uncleanness of room (dirty clothes under bed from previous guests) This is what $2400.00 gets you.
Andy **********
Sounds like someone's never been to county jail,.... Cry me a river boy.
Andy **********
Hamid Koskesh that sum kinda threat?
Andy **********
Hamid Koskesh it's a joke dude. Don't get so butt hurt PS I'm busting my ass to try to get back to Thailand to see my wife.
