TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their negative experience at Seasons Hotel in Bangkok while undergoing a 16-day ASQ stay, highlighting issues such as poor food quality (mostly junk food, with no hot meals), lack of fresh air (windows that don't open), and inadequate cleanliness (dirty clothes left under the bed). The post sparked a discussion among community members, with some sharing contrasting positive experiences at other hotels, highlighting the importance of researching ASQ options before booking. Comments also touched upon recent travel restrictions and the urgency for many expats to return to Thailand for various personal reasons.

That's bad, I stayed at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4. 3 fine meals per day, nice choices on menu . Although I did change to a larger room, cost me another 7,000 thb. 21 sq meters was just a bit small.

Plus you can catch Covid staying at Hotels with Covid positive patients beside or around .
the guy was trying to assist fellow travellers whom may fall into the same trap. Not everything advertised is as it seems. Its a forum for help not criticism.

Has anyone heard what Thailand is considering about travelers who have been vaccinated? I have been and want to travel to Khonkaen.
thanks everyone for the medical explanations. I’m very well aware. I did read a few months back it may be considered, but nothing since. Nor any updates on foreign tourists.
. There has never been a flu vaccine in history that was100% effective in stopping contraction or transmission. Until that day comes, i don't see the risk is worth it. Flu viruses can mutate rendering vaccines useless to new strains . And flu vaccines essentially give you a very mild case of the flu which allows you to build antibodies to it without getting severely sick. Its your own antibodies that fight it and protect you from getting the same strain again. Doesn't stop you from transmitting the flu from one person to another eg body contact from carrier, to you , to a non carrier
separated from my partner for 10 months, our flights were 10/days apart and Australia closed the door in her face days after they sold her a visa then reneged on it.
Cold food is because ASQ use catering services and by the time meals are delivered they are no longer hot, a microwave solves this, nothing to do with cheap ASQ. I used Cinnamon Residence
my friend had a lovely 3 days at Anantara before they kicked him to hospital for a positive test. Of course you idiots my friend survived COVID 4 months ago.

Ouch, and how much do they charge you for this luxury?

That about sums it up, except the sinus infection from you know where on day 4 from all the smoking on the balconies.. Then there is the noravirus on day 10 from food served and total uncleanness of room (dirty clothes under bed from previous guests) This is what $2400.00 gets you.

Must have been a cheap room. I had three great meals a day at the Solitaire plus amazing view of downtown. 46k baht.
