Will obtaining a work visa in Bangladesh void my NON-O extension in Thailand?

I have been offered work in Bangladesh, and I am on a 12 extension of non0 based on retirement. The employer in Bangladesh will apply for all paperwork there including the E visa.

My question is, having a work visa for Bangladesh, will that void my extension here?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned whether obtaining a work visa for Bangladesh will affect their current NON-O extension in Thailand, which is based on retirement. The comments clarify that working abroad does not affect the Thai visa status but emphasize the importance of obtaining a re-entry permit if the user plans to leave Thailand.

No problem.

If you leave Thailand without a RE-ENTRY PERMIT your extension will be voided.

Single Entry Re-entry Permit is ฿1000

Multiple Entry Re-entry Permit is ฿3800

Get it before you go!

, sound like you’re all set.

I’m in a similar situation. Having lived in Thailand for too many years, I’ve just left for work in another country. Over 50, I’m just going to make my visits using the Non-O with my time off.

NO, you are not allowed to work in Thailand, what you do abroad is none of their business.
