I’m a university student so I get yearly visa extensions. I currently have a multi re-entry permit. When my visa is extended again for the coming school year do I need to get another multi re-entry for that extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a university student in Thailand, if you currently have a multi re-entry permit, you will need to obtain a new re-entry permit when your visa is extended for the next school year. The existing multi re-entry permit is only valid while your current visa extension is in effect.

Yep you would, if you look at the re-entry permit you have now you will see that it is valid only as long as the current extension is valid for.

After you get next years extension you would buy a new re-entry permit that will be valid for that extension
