Hello, does anyone know if immigration will be closed for the 5 day holiday at the end of July (24-28) as my visa expires on 28 July and I will need to plan for this. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Immigration offices in Thailand will indeed be closed for the public holidays from July 26 to July 28, 2021. It's advisable to plan your visit earlier in the month, specifically between July 19 and July 23, to ensure that you address your visa needs before your visa expires on July 28.

Keep in mind the 24th and 25th of July are weekend days and immigration is closed on those days anyway

BUT

You are correct they will be closed Monday the 26th, Tuesday the 27th and Wednesday the 28th of July

So you would be wise to go the week of the 19th to the 23rd of July for your visa needs

I recommend getting it done early. Most immigration offices let you get an extension of stay when there is 30 days or less remaining on your existing stamp.
