Hey everybody, I want to ask if somebody has exited Thailand during their 6 month stay and when they come back? for example I entered in December and my stamp is until June. now, if I go for Cambodia trip for two weeks and come back, do they put a new stamp restarting a new six month? I don't think they would but want to confirm it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of receiving a new 180-day stamp on their return to Thailand after a two-week trip to Cambodia, following an initial six-month stay. Community members confirmed that upon re-entry, travelers typically receive a new 180-day stamp, effectively restarting their stay.

but it makes no sense for them to do this as this is a "multi-entry" visa and normally when you have a valid visa for certain period of time, you just show your existing visa and enter the country.

it doesn’t have to make sense or be the same as other visas It has its own requirements and processes and what

said is correct

every multiple entry visa for Thailand gets you stamped in for the specific entry period every time. So if you have a multiple entry tourist visa you get stamped in for 60 days (the duration of a tourist visa) every time you enter as long as that visa remains valid

wait, if that's case how many stamps do we get in a year? according the visa we are allowed to stay in thailand up to 360 days a year.

You are incorrect about 360 days a year. You're confusing the fact that if you DON'T leave the country after 180 days, you can extend the visa once for another 180 days, giving you 360 days total before you must leave and come back to reactivate another 180 days. But anytime you leave, you get a new 180 day stamp upon entry. Leave on day 1, day 10, day 100, day 179, it makes no difference. Your new stamp starts another 180 day count (+ can be extended once for 180 more days). You just can't extend more than one time per entry, so after 360 days, you must leave and come back.
