I came into Thailand this past Monday via Giant Ibis (American with US Passport) and got 'stamped in' by Thai Immigration at Poipet on my passport. If I fly out of BKK to Cambodia will I also get 'stamped out'?
The reason I am asking is that I had heard/read that with new scanner technology they no longer use actual stamps. I am afraid of creating a scenario where future border crossongs (i.e. into Laos) won't see any Thai Immigration stamp and refuse me entry. That has actually happened recently to someone on another FB group.
THANKS for any help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about whether they will receive an exit stamp when departing Thailand for Cambodia after having entered through a border checkpoint. Comments indicate that while Thai immigration has begun using automated gate technology that may not provide a physical stamp, the system can track movements electronically. The user may opt for a regular queue at immigration if they prefer to receive a physical stamp instead.
the problem with the case in point, was that the individual who was crossing into Laos was at a border station that did not have computer access to the Thai data base that showed he had actually departed Thailand. He was refused entry into Laos since he had an Entry stamp but no Exit stamp.
The gates at BKK are automated or you can queue for a stamped gate if you want one. Is new but I never had an issue with the automatic gates and updating the Immigration back end system and in and out all the time .
Your bigger problem might be getting a flight to Cambodia if your destination is Siem Reap- as of yesterday the Cambodian government prohibited these from Thailand as part of the ongoing spat.
