Just planning my next trip to the Kingdom for March. Going for 40 days so checked my passport to see if I had received 60 days when I visited in December. Noticed that there was no departure stamp. Will that be an issue?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler is concerned about not having a departure stamp in their passport after a previous visit to Thailand. They plan to return for 40 days in March and wonder if this missing stamp will pose an issue. A comment reassures that the automated exit gates in Thailand would have recorded their departure, indicating that the absence of a physical stamp should not cause problems for future travel.

No. The automated gates will have recorded your exit and logged it on to the system.
