Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with leaving Thailand and coming back on an ED visa? Would love to go and visit my family for the holidays.

Appreciate any comments or feedback.

Thanks

Rasmus

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses the challenges of leaving Thailand and returning on an Education (ED) visa, particularly in the context of current travel regulations. Users indicate that ED visas for language schools do not qualify for the Certificate of Entry required for re-entry. Instead, travelers need to consider alternatives like tourist visas, which involve significant conditions including quarantine and documentation. Participants also note that the ED visa is primarily valid for university students and does not cover language or similar programs.

For Language school etc no, Universities and International school students only

Your name sound Scandinavian.

So you will be able to come back on a tourist visa from Europe just have to be prepared to go thru the 15 night's quarantine and All the paperwork for COE etc.

Ed visa are only for her university

No llanguage school or similar.

Most embassies are now allowing the sale of tourist visas. You still have to jump through all the hoops of insurance, Covid tests and quarantine, etc. But it’s a way back in.

Currently ED visas (for language/Muay Thai) are not eligible for certificate of entry)
