Hi, I have a question about the non immigrant B visa. I have to go to Laos to apply for the visa as the embassy where I live would take too long. But the flights from here go via Bangkok anyway as there is no direct flight to Laos.
I was planning on flying into Bangkok for 1 night so I could leave my luggage there, then fly on to Laos the next day to go do my visa.
My question is, if I go through immigration in Bangkok for the night (I'm South African so I'd do the visa on arrival) Would that now affect my application for the non immigrant B visa in Laos? Should I not go through immigration?
Hope someone can help :)
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the implications of going through immigration in Bangkok on their application for a non-immigrant B visa in Laos, while planning to fly from Bangkok to Laos after a one-night stay. A commenter clarifies that South Africans are visa exempt and that passing through immigration should not impact the visa application process.
