Why does the Vietnam HCMC Embassy require a 6-month bank statement for my visa application?

**Vietnam HCMC Embassy**: I submitted a 3-month bank statement showing a consistent balance of over 500k Baht. However, the embassy asked me for a **6-month** history instead. I wasn't expecting this at all.
Did anyone else encounter the same issue here? Four months ago, I didn't have the 500k in that account. I thought applying in Vietnam was supposed to be easy!

They basically asked me again for a bunch of documents I submitted on first time + passport scan and 6 month bank history....

Don't panic, and breathe! 🙂 Yes, as TrustworthyFerret454 says, it's historic income, not 6 months 500K balance. They just want to know you've got reliable income, and not living hand to mouth. Good luck!

They need to see six months of transaction history its a separate requirement from the 3 month 500k balance.

This has always been the case, no wonder so many people are complaining about rejections when they don’t know the requirements.

I thought the originally in the beginning 6 months was required.  Then a few got away with 1 month or less.  Then 3 months are a settled on amount.  I would send what they requested

It denied apply in 3 more months when you have 6 months

If you want me to send you my glossary’s I can, I sent 6 months bank statements. A picture of me outside my hotel, hotel key card, my invoice from my hotel and flight ticket . I sent every single page of my passport.
