Soft power Muay Thai - UK

Sent off my application on 10/2/2026 - they requested more information on 11/2/2026

Submitted everything they asked for 12/2/2026

I guess I have to wait now! Fingers crossed 🤞

I don’t need a refundable flight because I will be going there regardless if I get the DTV or not

Expect a rejection. To much information asked for, when they ask for this much it often means a rejection comes next

Anonymous participant 406 it really isn’t too much information at all. My flight path to Thailand, a consent letter saying I understand and acknowledge the DTV rules, another saying I understand I can work remotely but not for a Thai and lastly, a printed/stamped statement to show the necessary funds

Yes. They asked me for more information. And you have to have the required money in your bank account more than 3 months. I shown them my e ticket. For 3 months time. Passed.

I went to my nearest physical bank branch, went in store and asked them to print my savings account bank statement - this is ‘stamped’ because it says it was printed in branch with the time and date

Too many folks have flown to Thailand before getting their visa so the embassy has tighten the restrictions. You should blame your own people and not them for doi their job

DioParco3474 you don’t make any sense. Obviously it’s important to go to Thailand and train at different gyms to find the right one you want for your DTV

but actually I submitted one without a stamp as i forgot to select the tickbox in the app and it was approved. (applied in UK) I guess when you apply in a different country than where your bank is located its morre strict tho

yeah that's the question.. Many people apply from countries which aren't their home country.. A stamp is impossible.. Just lots of red tape. Paper bank / digital bank statements with my name and UK address not enough? Seems unreasonable

some banking apps like Revolut give the option to download a statement that has a stamp. But i get if your bank doesnt offer it, waiting another 3 months isnt really a good option, you could try calling your bank and asking

Why are they requesting so many documents?

Did you not read up on what was required beforehand? Or did you just chance it?

Irfy7674 I’ve read up on it of course, and submitted everything they asked for but they have asked for more

Irfy7674 my application included these three things already but they still asked for the exact same three things also via UK consulate. Seems to be something they ask for even if its included in your original application. they want the seperate letters with your business header etc just for their records so if you break the rules they can say, hey you confirmed you understood the rules, no excuses.

After submitting the three things seperatly my visa was approved 3 days letter

Seems like its a something the UK consulate is doing when you apply as Freelancer.

Nigel Bunney Aaliyah Mendy I went to my nearest physical bank branch, went in store and asked them to print my savings account bank statement - this is ‘stamped’ because it says it was printed in branch with the time and date - it’s the equivalent of a stamp from my UK bank
