Hi all. I recently got a toursit visa approved from UK Thai embassy. They sent me an email with a pdf which I've printed off. Is this all you need as I expected something to go in my passport ? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The PDF you received from the UK Thai embassy is your visa. You only need to print this document and present it, along with your passport, to immigration upon arrival in Thailand. There is no longer a physical visa stamp placed in your passport, as this practice changed around the time of COVID. Ensure to check that you receive the correct 60-day stamp upon entry, and keep the PDF with you in case you need it for extensions or visa changes.

That's it. It's an evisa. Print it off and show it at Thai Immigration when you arrive

The PDF is your visa. Keep it with you, hand it to the passport control with your passport. Then as soon as you step away, check your passport and make sure you got your correct 60 day stamp as there have been a few stories lately of people incorrectly getting 30 day stamp and it's very easy to fix when you're still there at the airport.
Also keep the PDF until you leave Thailand as you'll need it if you want to apply for an extension or a visa change.

They don’t put anything in your passport (anymore). I think it changed around covid times. Just bring your passport and printed visa to the immigration officer and they will stamp your passport once in Thailand.
Eventually, they'll stop stamping passports altogether. Singapore and Hong Kong already have so it's only a matter of time before Thailand follows suit.

Just print a copy of the PDF and present to immigration when you arrive.
