Why did I receive an 'Under Consideration' stamp for my Covid extension at Korat immigration?

ORIGINAL POSTER
So I went to Korat immigration on Aug 3rd to get a Covid extension from a 30 day extension and visa exempt stamp. Filled out all the paperwork and got an Under Consideration stamp and have to return on Aug 13th. Any reason why they didn't just give the covid extension? Do I need to bring anything special when I go back on the 13th? Never had an under consideration stamp before.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user visited Korat immigration seeking a Covid extension from a visa-exempt stamp and received an 'Under Consideration' stamp, needing to return on August 13th. While they're unsure about the reasoning behind the delay, community members suggest it's standard procedure for application review. They advise bringing the passport and the payment receipt when returning.

Just return on the date specified and bring your passport. That's all you need to do.

I'll just say it's standard policy. They are reviewing the application package. I never heard of anyone being rejected for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 yet.

Your passport and your blue receipt showing you paid 1,900 THB.
