For those who have applied in Vietnam HCMC, are bank statements with just the balance on them for the last 6 months okay? Or do they need to see specific transactions?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for bank statements in HCMC can vary. Some applicants have successfully used bank statements showing just the balance for the last 6 months, while others recommend including specific transactions to enhance approval chances. It is generally suggested to submit full bank statements, as some visa officers may request them. Experiences shared indicate that while it's possible to use limited statements, bringing comprehensive documentation may be more prudent to avoid issues.

Yeah, we have to remember it’s a person in front of you, not paid on performance so don’t ‘really’ care if you’re approved or not either way. So our goal needs to be to make their life as easy as possible. Not ‘wow’ them.
The requirements don’t say bank statements of 6 months, so there has to be an internal reason, which I suspect is as a means to weed out genuine fraud like someone applying with a false deposit and job and as an excuse to then reject them.
So if they say 6 months bank statements, just print of 6 months bank statements. If it has just the balances and missing the transactions the officer will be like: “🤦♂️ Omg, just print off the entire thing”. Just being ‘annoying’ like that will lower your chance of being approved.
So either both or full transactions. Do what is asked. As they don’t care.
