Why Are Comments Often Disabled by Admin in This Group?

I'll give you the answer, we used to leave threads open, and what would happen is someone would provide the correct answer and then a well-meaning but totally clueless goof-ball would provide the incorrect answer turning the thread into a shit storm again.

We finally realized that this group is not a place to come chat, commiserate about problems like other groups. We changed the focus,we answer questions and close threads.
