How can we improve the atmosphere in expat groups discussing Thailand?

This group is quickly turning into another bunch of snarky trolling pensioners. Is that the goal? I highly recommend requiring real names and faces for all group members, and banning those who have only negative trash talk. Otherwise another group will be started and the cycle continues... πŸ€¦πŸ™πŸ‘

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post expresses concern about a Facebook group for expats in Thailand, feeling that it is deteriorating due to the presence of negative and trolling comments, particularly from 'snarky pensioners.' The author suggests implementing real name policies and stricter moderation to improve the group's quality. Comments from other users discuss the nature of online interactions and share strategies for managing negativity, including blocking unproductive members.

Not to troll - butt ... - one man's trash is another person's treasure.

, you have exhausted me already with your drama!

I am usually a reader not a commenter...

Some people have the right to think different than you and to not always believe that what meets the eyes first is the truth and the whole truth...

You might always want to give the benefit of the doubt to people finding themselves in harsh situations and some other people are allowed to think that sometimes there is more to the story than what is being reported, explained, shown through the "victim's" report.

As it's been already said to you, you don't like it then leave or block those you don't want to see anymore...

Like me, blocking you straight away right after this post just for being who you are and I just don't want to be bothered anymore with your posts or comments...

And I do not even give a flying F..K that you read my post or not...

I just wrote it to let it out, is all πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Other non visa Chiang Mai Facebook groups are very much worse. I’ve discontinued most. A waste of time .

I don't read all posts & all comments, but IMO, it's best to quickly read on when someone starts to get snarky and grumpy for no apparent reason. I haven't seen so many of those types of comments, but if they are there and do not contribute, ADMIN please delete as appropriate. Thank you.

Troll fishing works great πŸ‘Œ anyone else wants to join, simply click block on any anon trash talkers in the comments, they can't see your future posts

What's wrong with snacky pensioners? Maybe if just learnt to ignore what you don't like you might not feel so triggered about what you disagree with! Just because you are from California doesn't mean you have to be so woke! I am a snacky pensioner!

That’s just Facebook man. 1% of people are assholes. Get enough people in any one place and it seems like a lot.
