TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing email confirmations in Thai after acquiring a SIM card upon arrival in Thailand. This could be due to localization settings linked to the Thai number provided by the SIM card. Other users suggest adjusting settings on booking websites or changing preferred language settings to resolve the issue. Additionally, the user mentions a problem with a new MacBook Pro that he cannot unlock, having only set up the fingerprint reader without a password.

The simcard has a Thai number, so there is a chance that some websites will think that you are Thai. But probably you can change things like this on the booking websites.
