Hi there, I’m in Hanoi now,Is it better to apply for the DTV VISA online or directly with the embassy?

Assuming I have all the required documents ready. How long can I expect if I apply with the embassy. Thanks!

Answer summary

The user inquires whether it's better to apply for the DTV VISA online or directly at the embassy in Hanoi, assuming all documents are ready. Comments suggest that Hanoi exclusively offers the e-Visa option now, implying that applying online would be necessary. One comment encourages checking the Thai embassy's website for more details.

It should take 5 working days, and you don’t need to wait in Hanoi.

Lao (Vientiane, Savannakhet) and Burma (Yangon) are still walk-in, but you need to make an appointment first. Without appointment you can do it in Indonesia (Jakarta), Taiwan (Taipei) and Philippines (Manila). Hanoi takes about 5 working days (not included the day you apply).

Jakarta seems to be pretty easy, Laos is the cheapest with exactly 10k (in Baht).
