TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around which citizens must return to their home countries to apply for a non-B visa for Thailand. South Africans and Kenyans are specifically mentioned as needing to go back home, with South Africans facing difficulties applying in Kuala Lumpur. It is noted that other countries may stipulate similar requirements, and various comments clarify the current situation with different nationalities.
before the topic spill over. SA can not get visa in KL only. Other countries OK. The web sides of Thai Embassies , in most cases clearly state which country OK and which not. I close comment.
Almost every consulate has a list of countries, which can not apply for a Visa unless they have residency in that country. As far as seen in reports only KL is refusing South Africans.
My school is hiring a young woman from South Africa and they've told her to come on a tourist visa and change it here. I tried to tell them that she MUST get her non-b visa in S.A..
