Good day,

I am planning to have my bank statements translated for the DTV Soft Power Visa for Muay Thai. Since these documents need to be officially translated and certified, Google Translate is unfortunately not accepted. Does anyone know where I can have these PDF bank statements translated and certified at a reasonable cost?

You sound like a Swiss or a German. Just write to the bank that they should send you an English version. Done in 1 Minute.

Where are you applying? Did the embassy say they need to be officially translated? as self-translation is widely accepted.

No, the Muay Thai camp told me that I have to do this. I will apply for the visa next Friday in Hanoi, Vietnam.

you should do what the Embassy ask for, not what the muay thai camp tells you. Check with the Embassy if they really need translated bank statements.

how long in months is the Muay Thai training that you are submitting for the DTV visa?

that should be fine. We have seen the Thai Embassy or Consulate in Vietnam issue a SETV single entry or METV multiple entry tourist visa instead of the DTV 5 year visa. We suspect that it's because of the time in months for the soft power activity...a SETV single entry tourist visa gets Up to 3 months stay in Thailand, the METV multiple entry can get up to 9 months stay with a few simple border bounces.

Please update us when you get the decision. Good Luck 🍀

I think you will find Hanoi is ok with self-translation, and you can find posts by others who have done the same. I did it myself albeit in Taipei. You can find translation services in Vietnam if you want an official translation.
