you should do what the Embassy ask for, not what the muay thai camp tells you. Check with the Embassy if they really need translated bank statements.James ********

that should be fine. We have seen the Thai Embassy or Consulate in Vietnam issue a SETV single entry or METV multiple entry tourist visa instead of the DTV 5 year visa. We suspect that it's because of the time in months for the soft power activity...a SETV single entry tourist visa gets Up to 3 months stay in Thailand, the METV multiple entry can get up to 9 months stay with a few simple border bounces. I think you will find Hanoi is ok with self-translation, and you can find posts by others who have done the same. I did it myself albeit in Taipei. You can find translation services in Vietnam if you want an official translation.Niklas ********
