I will need to renew my business visa this year. The date the visa expires is 8th June. I left the country recently so the stamp in my passport states I am entitled to stay in the kingdom until the 27th of July. Should I plan to go to Penang before the visa expires, (8th June) or before the 27th of July?

Also my work permit has just been renewed last month.

You can go to local Immigration office and apply for an extension of stay based on WP. Costs 1900 Thb.

Hi Kerry, you can stay till 27th July. Then you can do a visarun to Penang to get new Non Immigrant B visa. Just be adviced that, when people use their visa more than 12 months, Penang Consulate check how many months of remaining validity your work permit have, it must have at least 8 months of validity. In your case, work permit renewed in April, new visa applied next July, it should be ok. Feel free to send me message if you need more info.
