When should I apply for the Kor Ror 22 for my marriage visa before it expires?
Question for Kor ror 22 for Marriage visa issued date, when should I go to Local amphur to issue it? eg. 2 months or 2 weeks before the visa expired date?

Can someone please clarify. Is it a KR22 or a KR2 update. I thought a KR22 was confirmation that a marriage between a Thai national with a foreign who married abroad is legal?

I had to go to Bangkok to get my Australian marriage certificate verified by embassy then translated, then approved by consulate. Is that because it’s the first time I’m applying for marriage visa extension? I need kor ror 22 to open a bank account too

I go the week I make the application. Very simple process. I take my ID and my wife's ID. They are never interested in mine and issue the Kor Ror 22 then and there. In and out in 10 minutes.

It also required the bank I opened a bank account with last time as my extension is based on a Non-O Married to Thai. So there is no reason.

Tim Dean yes the process yoyi are going through. Is getting. Your Australian marriage registered on the Thai system. I am nor Australian so I don't know the process you need to go theoygh with the Australian consulate but the end process will your marriage certificate and transaction will be notorised by the Thai Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Your marriage will then. Be recognised in Thai law and all government departments. The immigration police being one so you can get your annual extensions.

A week or two before you apply for the extension should be fine. You can apply for the extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, 45 days in some places
