I understand that CW is now more strict on how many days in advance of our permission to stay stamp that we apply for our next extension.

My current covid extension expires on Saturday 4th September.

What date do I need to attend CW to apply for my next extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for your visa extension, you can do so no earlier than 3 business days before your current expiry date. Therefore, you can apply on September 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. You may also apply on September 6th, but this will result in an overstay stamp, which can have its fine waived.

You can get an extension of stay no sooner than 3 business days before your current expiry stamp.

Counting backwards, you can get an extension of stay on:

Friday, September 3rd

Thursday, September 2nd

Wednesday, September 1st.

You can also get an extension of stay on Monday, September 6th. You will get an overstay stamp, but the fine will be waived before the office was closed.
