My METV will expire Jan. 19. On what date is best to get a 30 day extension? I am on my first 60 day entry as of right now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best time to apply for a 30-day extension on your METV is towards the end of your current 60-day entry, specifically between days 53-59. Alternatively, you can leave Thailand and re-enter before your current entry stamp expires on January 19 to receive a new 60-day stamp, which can also be extended.

If you want to maximize your stay then exit and reenter on or before the 19th of January, you will be stamped in for another 60 days and can apply for an extension. Are you sure your Visa expires on January 19th or just your current entry stamp?

Why dont you fly out and back in before jan 19 you will get full 60 day stamp.

Most places can apply extension now some have to be only 7 days before. Depends where you are

You can only get your 30 days extension towards the end of your current 60 day

Ie: days 53-59 make sense

Don’t you bother reading the answers you already received some time ago in the other group. It’s simply not possible to give a more exact or precise explanation than the one you were already given back then.
